Historian warns of sudden collapse of American ‘empire’

Harvard professor and prolific author Niall Ferguson opened the 2010 Aspen Ideas Festival Monday with a stark warning about the increasing prospect of the American “empire” suddenly collapsing due to the country’s rising debt level.

This interesting article also quotes him as saying that as the Usa's debt rises this can "...can lead to a sudden loss of military power and global respect." The Bible says that the trumpet shall sound but no one will go to war Ezekiel 7:14. As prophesied, the Bible says Jerusalem will be America's last foreign stronghold, then it will all start unraveling, NATO and US influence in the world. China will be the one that will give that final blow to the USA. Interesting that Ferguson said in this article, "...the financial crisis that started in 2007 has 'has accelerated a fundamental shift in the balance of power,' with the U.S. shedding power and China absorbing it." God said the "ships of Kittim [China]" will break up NATO and give the final blow to the USA, See Numbers 24.

Another interesting note, when he was in China, the Chinese said to him "‘You can’t lecture us about the superiority of your system anymore. We don’t need to learn anything from you about financial institutions and forget about democracy. We see where it has got you.’” China wants nothing to do with democracy.
